I need someone to ride with from Metro Detroit down to southeast Indiana to look at a Capri with me. It’s a 4.5 hour drive on the same day as the MSU vs UofM Football game. A tall order. I need someone to ride along because I hope to drive this 4 eyed bubble back home and then I have 2 cars with me.
But there’s this awesome looking 5.0 Bubble Back for a great price that is dying to be my RallyX car:
Anyone ?
UPDATE: My neighbor/friend said he could go, I’m good.

Where is it located in Indiana?

What happened with that Mustang? Based on this post, no purchase was made, right?

Nah the Mustang guy stopped following up with me, I suspect once he finally read the ad and realized the Montego needed work. I sold the Montego for cash last weekend and now it’s burning a hole in my pocket for a Capri. This one is perfectly in budget giving room for wheels/tires, and “frame stiffeners” which would be obviously required in any fox body for off roading.

It’s in Laurel Indiana. You’re not trying to snake my Capri are you?! hahaha

Sorry to hear, but glad the Montego is sold already.

That Capri looks a little too nice to rally x. Damn I’d go with ya but already have plans and its supposed to be nice out. Plus we might get into a bidding war. Love those bubble backs. Good luck.

Nah. Just wanted to see how close it was to Louisville. My friend lives up there and I go there quite a bit.

It’s not that nice lol. It’s listed at 1800 bucks, but it runs, drives and looks decent so I’m ready to try and drive it back.

Hahaha I was mainly kidding anyhow.

Yeah it’s ok that mustang wasn’t running and driving yet, this one is supposed to be drive home-able. Obviously a 347 would be epic, but I could always build a 347 for this one eventually.
Turns out NOS is 100% illegal in RallyX anyhow btw.

Is it just me or does that car look a little donk-afied with those wheels?

lol, a little bit, but it’s ok I’d be buying a different set of wheels with snow tires for racing anyhow. The squared off fenders on the Capri accept bigger wheel/tire combo’s than the Mustang.
